Living in Boise, Idaho all my life I didn't have an ocean, but I was always drawn to it.  We would take family trips to Newport, Oregon and all I wanted to do was think about surfing while watching the waves and go into every surf shop in the area.  In the fourth grade I saw Endless Summer 2 for the first time, and became obsessed with surfing and surfboards.  The rest of my school years I spent my free time in class drawing surfboards.  I always wanted to shape and glass surfboards, but never had a reason.  Then that reason came along in the form of a river wave. With guidance from a local shop owner/shaper, Victor Meyers, I began my journey.  For most of my life I've been heavily involved in wake sports and have always closely and almost obsessively observed and studied how a board performs on water in every way imaginable.  I nerd out on it constantly.  Teaming up with great local surfers Adam Winspear and Hayden Farrell, who share the same drive to create the best surfboards possible, we charged full steam trying everything we could resulting in the killer line offered today.  Those are 3 of the many people I owe major thanks to for helping this kid's childhood dream come true.  Now the Bitter End name is no longer exclusively tied to river waves.  We've developed killer ocean shapes and those are ending up in the hands of great ocean surfers around the country and in mexico.  I could no be happier and more thankful for what has happened and for all the support.  Today, I still enjoy stopping into Corridor surf shop to smell the wax and talk shop with Victor, and I still watch Endless Summer 2 regularly like its the first time.
